Spleen

Colleen went yesterday to have an ultrasound of her spleen. Later, the late effects doctor called with the results. She has a normal looking spleen, just more confirmation that her spleen has regained functioning. All her other blood work and tests were fine, including a hemoglobin of 11.5. Excellent! Thank you to everyone for their prayers for our precious daughter, and especially thanks to Jesus Christ for the cure!

Long Term Follow Up

Colleen went to the Long Term Follow Up Clinic yesterday. She is maintaining her growth curve in height and weight, even though she seems so small to us, she is in the 10-12%, where she has always been. She had a heart echo, pulmonary testing, and blood work, plus all the specialists she saw. Sadly, she ended up with four vaccinations, protocols keep changing. She was unhappy about 5 pokes, but did very well and was "rewarded" with two prizes out of the treasure chest, (Cinderella doll and jewelery). She needs to return for an ultrasound of her spleen next week to help confirm her spleen is functioning. We also don't have all the test results, but she is doing great and we don't expect any tests to show otherwise. Five years plus since her BMT, she is doing very well and we are very proud of her! Great job growing and staying healthy, Colleen! Keep up the good work!
