Found this in an old email. Colleen got "11.7" parts per million of stem cells from William in her bone marrow transplant. She needed a minimum of "2.0", so she got an abundance from her HERO BROTHER. And additionally, the doctors got MORE and were able to freeze some.

BMT Clinic Follow Up

Colleen returned to the BMT Clinic yesterday for her semi-annual follow up. Medically, she is doing GREAT. Her hemaglobin was "low" at 11.4, but all in perspective her pre-transplant norm was around 6.9. Our concerns for her remain academic. The school absolutely refused to retain her in First Grade. Susan went to a Homeschool Convention in Lansing last May, so we won't be fighting with the school district. Second grade is in her future for September, but not at our public school. The normal reading level for end of First Grade is 16. Colleen's goal was a crappy level I, and she is only at a Level E. It seems so odd that "she's social" would be the reasoning to promote a child. Unless there are some earth shattering "light bulb moments" at her Neuro Psych evaluation next month, Homeschool with ABeka Academy for Second Grade awaits her.
