Long Term Follow Up Clinic

On November 30, 2007 Colleen went to LONG TERM FOLLOW UP CLINIC. She is doing so well. Dr. Levine thinks she may have had graft vs. host disease after her transplant, but we will never know for certain. In any case, the steroids worked, she is CURED, and she is with her peers in kindergarten. Academically, she is falling a bit behind her classmates, but her IPT is scheduled for January. She may return to speech therapy or qualify for some resource room help.

On December 3, 2007, Colleen and Jillian went to their brother Dwayne's sibling visit, and met their bio-sister A.S.J. We've been asking for visits with this foster baby since May 2007, when she was six-months-old. Methodist Children's Home Society told us in writing in June that they have a "POLICY" that does not allow siblings to visit if they don't have an established relationship. To date, Dwayne and A.S.J., both foster children on the same case, have had TWO visits. It was a joy to finally meet this beautiful baby sister.
